On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the KotorArt Festival, on the 2nd of June, in Kotor, at 7 p.m., the exhibition – Don Branko's Music Days was open, and on this occasion, the #synergy project was promoted.
The Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF is one of the participants in the #synergy project, which was supported in the EU competition for cooperation projects in the Western Balkans (within the Creative Europe programme). The #synergy project brings together some of the largest art music festivals in the region, led by the KotorArt Don Branko’s Music Days, as the initiator and coordinator of the project.
On this occasion, the director of the Belgrade Festivals Centre, Damir Handanović, gave a statement about why this project is important for our institution.
‘Dear colleagues, dear friends,
I am very happy that the Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF has joined the family of European and Balkan festivals, led by tonight's host, the KotorArt Don Branko's Music Days Festival. For CEBEF, the #synergy project means further international affirmation of the festival whose executive producers we are, and whose founder is the City of Belgrade. Our festivals have a decades-long tradition and relevance within Belgrade and Serbia, and we want to combine our expertise, as well as the work of contemporary Serbian composers, in a synergistic way with artistic events and composers from the region; to learn from each other and to create music together, to the satisfaction of the audience, the profession and the financiers of culture from Europe and the region.
We wish the KotorArt Don Branko's Music Days many more decades of work and the successful realization of the #synergy project!’
