Atrium of Captain Miša’s Mansion
September in Belgrade will be marked by attractive ‘Atrium Sessions’ concerts in the atrium of Captain Miša’s Mansion. From 4 to 25 September 2022, starting at 8.30 p.m., numerous artists from various musical genres who are popular among the Belgrade audience will perform. ‘Atrium Sessions’ is organized by the Belgrade Festivals Centre (CEBEF).
The series of concerts will be opened by Bisera Veletanlić with Vasil Hadžimanov Band on Sunday, 4 September. It will be followed by the concert of the popular group Ođila on 8 September, which will be in the recognizable rhythm of Romani music, and on 9 September, the concert will be held by Tijana Bogićević, a singer with a ravishing voice. On 10 September, the audience will have a chance to enjoy the concert by the band Crvena jabuka, and on 11 September, a music and poetry evening of Spanish and Latin American songs ‘Al Amor’ will be held, performed by Anastasija Minjević (soprano), Ksenija Ristić (piano) and actor Joakim Tasić. The increasingly sought-after young musician Andrija Gavrilović A.N.D.R, music producer and trumpeter educated at Berklee, will perform on 13 September with his guests. On 19 September, the audience can expect energetic cello music in a concert by the Viva Cello ensemble, led by Dragan Đorđević Suzuki, which will mark the beginning of the ‘Cello Fest’. The international Makris Symphony Orchestra will perform on 21 September with the repertoire ‘Od klasike do Holivuda’ (From classical music to Hollywood), and the conductor is Predrag Gosta. The popular local band Galija will give a concert on 24 September, when they will thrill the audience with their many hits. The ‘Atrium Sessions’ series of concerts will close on 25 September with the ‘Tri sevdaha’ concert of the Belgrade Soul Sextet, an ensemble which combines the sounds of jazz, tango and traditional Balkan music as represented by sevdah.
