The Committee for Nurturing the Traditions of the Liberation Wars of Serbia under the Government of the Republic of Serbia marked the anniversary of the Syrmian Front breakthrough again this year, 2024.
Our cultural institution, the Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF, prepared and realized a fitting artistic programme, written and directed by Vojislav Milin. Actors Ivan Zablaćanski, Bojan Krivokapić, and Đorđe Nakić participated in the programme. The musical numbers were performed by the Stanković Singing Society quartet with conductor Nebojša Cvijanović, while Dragana Anastasijević, RTS journalist, was the host of the programme.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia was represented by Zoran Antić, State Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans, and Social Affairs. In his speech, he referred to the characters from the artistic programme, particularly fighter Đura Ušljebrk, who ended his successful sports career due to being wounded in the battles on the Syrmian Front.
