Along with the famous songs of Željko Samardžić, who will hold his Belgrade concert on December 24 at 8 p.m. in the Kombank Hall, we are looking forward to next year with optimism.
This musical spectacle was announced at a press conference at which, in addition to Željko Samardžić, Damir Handanović, acting director of the Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF, spoke on behalf of the concert organizers. He expressed satisfaction with the concert that was being prepared, and announced the upcoming events such as the Belgrade Winter and FEST. Samardžić shared with those present the joy over the upcoming performance in Belgrade at a time when, he believes, people need this kind of relief.
Željko Samardžić has so far recorded 19 albums released by renowned record labels with over three million copies sold, which makes him one of the top-selling singers in Serbia. He was born on October 3, 1955 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He drew attention to himself at the Prvi aplauz festival, held in 1973 in Banja Luka, with the song ‘Moja Marija’. In the 1990s, he continued his career in Belgrade, and in 1995, at the Budva Festival, he received the award of the expert jury for the interpretation of the song ‘Sipajte mi jos jedan viski’. Since that year, which was a turning point in his career, he has released many hits – ‘Grlica’, ‘Da me nije’, ‘Slutim’, ‘Dobar dan, tugo’…, and has won numerous awards – the Oscar of Popularity, Melko... Since 1996, Samardžić has given solo concerts throughout the former Yugoslavia – in Belgrade (Sava Centre and Belgrade Arena), Sarajevo (Skenderija and Zetra Olympic Hall), Zenica (Zenica Arena), Skopje (VIP Boris Trajkovski Arena), Zagreb (Zagreb Arena), Split (Spaladium Arena), Ljubljana (Križanke), as well as in Mostar, Niš, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Osijek and other cities.
