31 December 2022
MTS Hall at 5 p.m.
Dreams of the future begin on 31 December 2022 at 5 p.m. at the New Year's gala concert of the Children's Philharmonic, ‘A New Year's Eve Dream’, in Belgrade's MTS Hall. This exceptional concert is traditionally a wonderful opportunity for all generations to celebrate the end of the old year and the arrival of the new year in the best possible way.
The audience will be able to enjoy famous pieces of classical music performed by gifted young soloists accompanied by the orchestra and conducted by professor Ljubiša Jovanović. The repertoire will include contemporary hits as well.
The guests of this year's concert will be members of the Children's Cultural Centre Belgrade Choir. Together with all the participants, the anthem of the Children's Philharmonic ‘This Is a Song for Us’ will be performed by a special guest, the celebrated Serbian actress Ana Sofrenović, who will also serve as host of the programme.
Members of the Children's Philharmonic are talented pupils of primary and secondary music schools from Belgrade, prize winners at prestigious domestic and international competitions. One of them is Teodor Vujanić (7), who took his first musical steps when he was only five years old by playing the violin. He later decided to switch to piano and in his first year of performing, he won as many as six first prizes.
Some of the members of the Children's Philharmonic are long-term users of the instruments of the ‘Deca deci’ Foundation, which thus helps their education and professional advancement. Additionally, in order to create a wider platform for cultural exchange and connecting the youngest, the ‘Deca deci’ Foundation has expanded its activities since 2015 and the Regional Children's Orchestra was formed, which consists of children from five cities: Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sarajevo and Skopje.
The concert is organized by the Belgrade Festivals Centre (CEBEF) under the auspices of the City of Belgrade and the ‘Deca deci’ Foundation. Tickets can be purchased online, on the tickets.rs website, as well as at the ticket office of the MTS Hall and all Ticket Vision outlets.
