On Friday, March 25, 2022, numerous panels and workshops with guests from the region were held at the KONTAKT conference. Great attention was drawn to the panel on the survival of festivals in which the participants were: Zoran Vulović Vule (Arsenal – Serbia), Zlatana Pavlović (Love Fest – Serbia), Dubravko Suvara (OK Fest – Bosnia and Herzegovina), Dušan Kuzmanov (Dev9t Art & Music – Serbia), Login Kochishki (North Macedonia), moderated by Zdenka Milanović.

Many were interested in the workshop for audio producers, which was attended by Vlada Negovanović, Marko Đukić, Uroš Milkić with moderator Ivan Lončarević; attention was also drawn to the design workshop for graphic design of covers led by Vuk Popadić (Serbia) and Darko Kujundžić (Croatia), then a panel on ways to export music led by guest from Croatia Mirko Burazer, and there was interest in the ‘GIGMIT WORKSHOP’ of the INES international association in which Marcus Fitzgerald spoke about how it was possible to export music to foreign markets. GIGMIT is a platform with over 200,000 users (bands, DJs, festivals, venues, promoters) that makes live booking less time consuming and affordable.

How old, neglected and abandoned, undiscovered spaces can get a cultural purpose was the topic of the panel ‘Cultural Metamorphosis of Space’ where Katarina Deskovič (Slovenia), Igor Bergam (Croatia), Matija Tripković (Serbia), Marko Radojković (Serbia) spoke, moderated by Marina Zec (Serbia).

KONTAKT was also a place of promotion of one book. Igor Todorović Zgro wrote the book ‘Moja Engleska’ (my England) – an almost lyrical off-road guide through key football, music and subcultural sections in the cradle of football and punk. This is a story personally and thoroughly experienced, from Morecambe and Blackpool to Brighton (as well as to Eastbourne). The author talked about the book with Zoran Panjković and Ivan Lončarević.

The second day of the KONTAKT conference was rounded off by an exclusive club performance of Obojeni program, included in the main music part of the sixth Kontakt conference. This famous Serbian band held an energetic concert in the crowded Anti Shop Elektropionir club, which presented the real finale of an active day dedicated to the music industry.

The Kontakt conference is organized by the production company ‘Kontakt konferencija’, the concert agency ‘Odličan hrčak’ and the Belgrade Festivals Centre – CEBEF, under the auspices of the City of Belgrade. For additional information, the website www.kontakt.org.rs is available.
