The legendary band Crvena jabuka will hold a concert on 15 September in Captain Miša’s Mansion as part of the ‘Atrium Sessions’ series of musical performances organized by the Belgrade Festivals Centre. (This concert was originally scheduled for 10 September, but was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions.)
Crvena jabuka was founded in 1985 in Sarajevo. Its music was inspired by the Beatles and Indexi. The first album, ‘Crvena jabuka’, released in 1986, was an instant success. The group quickly rose to great popularity throughout the former Yugoslavia. From the first album (‘Bježi, kišo, s prozora’, ‘Dirlija’, ‘Nek te on ljubi’…) to the latest ‘Tvrđava’, they recorded more than 200 songs, and for the record ‘Sanjati’ from 1990, they were awarded the international Ampex Golden Reel Award. That is why it is not surprising that more than 30 songs can often be heard at their concerts. Among their many hits are the tracks: ‘Ima nešto od srca do srca’, ‘Nekako s proljeća’, ‘Bacila je sve niz rijeku’, ‘Volio bih da si tu’, ‘To mi radi’, ‘Tuga, ti i ja’, ‘Uzmi me kad hoćeš ti’, ‘S tvojih usana’, ‘Stižu me sjećanja’...
Through all these years and all these songs, Crvena jabuka has not lost its audience – it has only gained new audiences, and that is why now all generations can be seen at their performances. Every time we hear some of Crvena jabuka's most famous hits, they evoke the same emotions in us, defying time. That is why we can expect a spontaneous and moving performance this time as well, in which the audience participates as much as the band, because, as Žera says, ‘there are no rules in music: it is not mathematics, it is emotion’.
Tickets can be purchased online via the tickets.rs website, as well as at Ticket Vision outlets. It will be possible to purchase tickets before the concert as well, from 6 p.m., at the entrance to the concert venue, from Vuka Karadžića Street No. 1.
